Job Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and complex laboratory tests in areas such as chemistry, hematology, microbiology, and immunology
• Accurately analyze and interpret test results, ensuring timely and precise reporting
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, troubleshooting issues as necessary
• Follow established protocols for quality assurance and control
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support patient care
• Ensure compliance with all laboratory safety and procedural standards
• Assist in training and mentoring new lab staff or students

Education & Certification Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field
• ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology) certification or equivalent required
• Louisiana state licensure (or eligibility) to practice as a Medical Technologist
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Technologist in a clinical setting
• Strong knowledge of laboratory best practices and relevant regulatory guidelines

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in performing laboratory tests
• Proficiency with laboratory equipment and software systems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team
