Job Requirements
  • Education Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or an equivalent nursing degree from an accredited program
  • Certifications Requirements: - BLS (AHA) - Required
    - ACLS (AHA) - Required within 30 days of start
    - State-specific RN license valid for Illinois
  • Experience Requirements: - Minimum of 3 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
    - Proven clinical leadership skills
    - Experience working in hospital settings with night shift hours
  • Other Requirements: - Physical ability to perform patient care tasks
    - Strong communication and critical thinking skills
    - Ability to work independently during night shifts

Job Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, and deliver patient-centered care during night shifts in the Medical-Surgical unit.
  • Provide clinical leadership and support to the patient care team, ensuring adherence to hospital protocols and safety standards.
  • Document patient care activities accurately and promptly in electronic health records.
  • Monitor patient conditions continuously, recognizing and responding to changes swiftly to maintain optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to develop and update individualized care plans.
