We are currently seeking an experienced Neuro ICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in Wausau, WI. Job Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to critically ill patients with neurological conditions in the Neuro ICU
• Monitor neurological function and manage complex conditions, including stroke, traumatic brain injury, and post-surgical neuro cases
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and other therapies, closely monitoring patient responses
• Assist with diagnostic procedures and advanced neurological monitoring
• Utilize critical thinking and clinical judgment to respond effectively in emergency situations
• Educate and support patients and their families, ensuring they understand care plans and treatment processes
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all hospital policies and regulatory requirements
• Ensure infection control and patient safety protocols are followed at all times

Education and Certification Requirements

• Active RN license in Wisconsin (or Compact State)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• CCRN (Critical Care RN) certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Neuro ICU or ICU settings
• Strong knowledge of neurocritical care, stroke management, and advanced neurological monitoring
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a patient-centered approach
