We are currently seeking an experienced Neuro ICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in Wausau, WI. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated ICU nurse with strong neurological critical care expertise to work in a high-acuity setting.

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive care to critically ill patients in the Neuro ICU, managing complex neurological conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, and post-surgical recovery
• Continuously monitor neurological function, assess changes, and implement appropriate interventions
• Work collaboratively with physicians, specialists, and the ICU team to develop and adjust individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and advanced therapies, closely monitoring patient responses
• Assist with diagnostic procedures and advanced neurological monitoring
• Utilize critical thinking and rapid decision-making skills to respond effectively in emergency situations
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and families, ensuring understanding of conditions and care plans
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with hospital policies and legal requirements
• Ensure adherence to infection control and patient safety protocols at all times

Education and Certification Requirements

• Active RN license in Wisconsin (or Compact State)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• CCRN (Critical Care RN) certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU or ICU experience
• Strong proficiency in neurocritical care, stroke management, and advanced neurological monitoring
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and adaptability in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
