Job Description

Job Title: Travel Oncology Registered Nurse - Milwaukee, WI

Location: Milwaukee, WI

Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Shift Availability: Day and Night Shifts

Job Description:

  • Provide specialized nursing care to oncology patients, including administering chemotherapy and managing side effects
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions, including response to treatments and medication efficacy
  • Collaborate with oncologists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Educate patients and their families about cancer treatments, self-care, and managing side effects
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes
  • Offer emotional support and counseling to patients and their families throughout their treatment journey
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and best practices

Education and Certification Requirements:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Wisconsin or compact state
  • Minimum of 2 years of oncology nursing experience preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
  • Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification preferred
  • Strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and a compassionate approach to patient care
