Critical Access Registered Nurse (RN) - Plains, MT

Location: Plains, Montana
Shift: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts

Job Description:

  • Provide comprehensive care to patients in a critical access hospital, covering Emergency Room (ER), Med-Surg, and Long-Term Care (LTC) units.
  • Conduct patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and monitor patient outcomes.
  • Administer medications, IVs, and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and patient safety.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to provide optimal patient care.
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide life-saving interventions when necessary.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and overall health management.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Follow infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe and sterile environment.

Education and Certification Requirements:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Montana.
  • BLS, ACLS certifications required; PALS and TNCC certifications preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a critical access setting preferred.
  • Experience in Emergency Room, Med-Surg, and/or Long-Term Care settings is highly desirable.
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
