Travel L&D RN - Birthing Center – 12-Hour Night Shifts – Portage, Wisconsin

Connected Health Care is partnering with a well-regarded healthcare facility in Portage, Wisconsin to find a Travel L&D RN for 12-hour night shifts. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced labor and delivery nurses to provide compassionate care in a Birthing Center environment while experiencing the charm of rural Wisconsin.

Job Description:

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to expectant mothers in the labor and delivery unit.
• Monitor fetal heart tones, labor progression, and patient vitals during labor and delivery.
• Administer medications, including epidurals, pain management, and IV fluids.
• Assist with newborn care immediately after birth, including assessments and initiation of breastfeeding.
• Collaborate with OB/GYNs, midwives, and other healthcare providers to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient interactions using EPIC EMR.
• Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
• Assist with emergency deliveries, including C-sections, as needed.

Education & Certification Requirements:

• WI RN license required.
• BLS and Advanced NRP certifications required.
• AHWONN and PALS certifications preferred.
• EPIC charting experience required.

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of OB and L&D experience required.
• 1 travel assignment required.
• Critical access hospital experience highly preferred.
• Strong clinical skills in labor and delivery, including emergency situations.
