Connected Health Care, a leading recruitment and staffing firm, is excited to partner with a top-tier healthcare facility in Pittsfield, MA, seeking a highly skilled Travel X-Ray Technologist for a 13-week contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for X-Ray Techs looking to gain experience, work with a reputable team, and explore the beautiful Berkshires region!
Position Overview
As a Travel X-Ray Technologist, you’ll perform diagnostic imaging examinations, ensuring patient comfort and safety while delivering high-quality results. This position offers a great balance of hands-on patient care and technical expertise, perfect for professionals looking to expand their skillset in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray equipment to produce diagnostic images as per physician orders
- Prepare and position patients accurately to achieve optimal imaging results
- Maintain and adhere to radiation safety procedures
- Ensure accuracy of patient records, imaging data, and equipment maintenance logs
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to evaluate images and provide patient care
- Assist with patient intake, discharge, and follow-up as needed
Education and Certification Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Radiologic Technology
- Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
- State Licensure in Massachusetts (or eligibility to obtain)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 1-2 years of X-ray technologist experience in a clinical setting
- Strong interpersonal skills for patient and team interaction
- Previous experience in a travel role is a plus but not required
