Job Summary:
As an Ultrasound Technician, you will prioritize and coordinate ultrasound exams, ensuring adherence to departmental protocols and standards. You will provide exceptional patient care, operate ultrasound equipment proficiently, and collaborate with radiologists and referring physicians.

Essential Functions:

• Verify orders and examine requests for each assigned patient
• Assist Radiologist in invasive procedures
• Maintain superior technical quality of exams
• Contribute to the Patient-Centered Care Philosophy
• Report equipment malfunctions and ensure cleanliness of work area
• Operate Radiology computer system for exam entries and supplies charging

Physical Requirements:

• Lift and move patients, equipment, and supplies up to 600 pounds with assistance
• Perform walking, standing, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting
• Utilize mental skills for reading patient orders and technical materials
• Coordinate motor skills to operate heavy and delicate equipment
• Maintain intact sense of sight and hearing

Skills Required:

• Certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (S)
• BLS HCP certification from AHA
• Strong interpersonal skills

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of accredited ultrasound technology program
