Travel Laboratory Manager –  Junction, TX - Permanent Role
13-Week Contract | Day Shift | 5x8s | Up to $50/hr (DOE)

Connected Health Care, an Austin-based recruitment and staffing firm, is partnered with a Critical Access Hospital near Junction, Texas seeking an experienced Travel Laboratory Manager to join their high-complexity lab. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong clinical leader who thrives in rural healthcare and enjoys making an impact in a tight-knit community.

Position Overview

As the Laboratory Manager, you’ll oversee daily operations in a high-complexity lab, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant testing across all departments. This position requires strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to mentor a small, cross-trained team in a critical access setting.

Schedule & Contract Details

  • 13-Week Travel Assignment

  • Day Shift | 5x8s | 40 hours/week

  • Competitive Pay: Up to $50/hr, based on experience

  • Opportunity for permanent placement

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage daily operations of the clinical laboratory

  • Maintain CLIA, CAP, COLA, and other regulatory compliance standards

  • Perform and oversee high-complexity testing and quality assurance

  • Train, evaluate, and support laboratory staff

  • Ensure equipment maintenance and performance verification

  • Collaborate with hospital leadership and providers to ensure efficient workflow

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field required

  • Certification: ASCP or AMT (or equivalent) required

  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of clinical laboratory experience, including leadership or supervisory experience

  • Licensure: Must meet CLIA high-complexity testing requirements

  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
