Connected Health Care, a trusted healthcare recruitment and staffing firm, is partnered with a hospital in Ness City, Kansas to hire an experienced Environmental Services (EVS) Manager for a travel-to-permanent opportunity. This position is ideal for a strong leader who wants to transition into a long-term hospital management role after an initial contract period.

Position Overview

The Environmental Services Manager is responsible for leading the EVS department and ensuring a clean, safe, and compliant hospital environment. This role requires hands-on leadership, staff oversight, and close collaboration with hospital leadership and clinical teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the Environmental Services department

  • Supervise, train, and schedule EVS staff

  • Ensure compliance with infection control standards, OSHA regulations, and hospital policies

  • Maintain cleanliness standards across patient rooms, clinical areas, and public spaces

  • Conduct quality audits and routine inspections

  • Manage supplies, inventory, and equipment

  • Collaborate with nursing leadership and hospital administration

  • Support a smooth transition from contract to permanent employment

Schedule & Compensation

  • Shift: Day shift

  • Schedule: 5x8s (6:00 AM – 2:00 PM)

  • Hours: 40 hours per week

  • Contract Length: 13 weeks (travel-to-perm)

  • Pay Rate: Up to $28/hour

  • Placement Type: Contract with strong potential for permanent hire

Education & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED (required)

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Environmental Services, or related field (preferred)

  • Previous Environmental Services management or supervisory experience (hospital experience strongly preferred)

  • Knowledge of infection prevention standards and hospital cleaning protocols

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
