Job Summary:
Connected Health Care is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Weekend Per Diem Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) to join our partner healthcare facility in Reno, NV. This position offers flexible weekend shifts, providing you with the opportunity to work in a high-quality lab environment while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and complex laboratory tests and procedures in accordance with established protocols and standards.
• Analyze patient samples, including blood, urine, and other bodily fluids, and provide accurate results.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Troubleshoot laboratory equipment and reagents to ensure optimal functioning.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of test results and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe laboratory environment.
• Collaborate with other medical staff to provide timely and reliable test results for patient care.
• Assist in inventory management and the ordering of laboratory supplies.
• Provide support for the education and training of new lab staff and students as needed.

Education and Certification Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or a related field.
• Current Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent certification.
• Valid NV state CLS license.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and procedures.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Work Schedule:

• Weekend shifts only (Saturday and Sunday)
• Flexible hours available for per diem coverage.
