Director of Women's Services (Labor/Delivery, Nursery) 
 

Are you a seasoned leader in healthcare, specifically in Women's Services with a passion for patient care, and experience in Labor/Delivery and Nursery Services? If so, an exceptional opportunity awaits you at our progressive hospital located near the city of Auburn, Alabama.

We are seeking a dynamic Director of Women's Services to lead and advance our Partner's labor and delivery section, as well as nursery services. As a key part of our leadership team, you will provide strategic oversight, set performance standards, and mentor and inspire our dedicated healthcare professionals.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

As the Director of Women's Services, your primary responsibilities will include:

  1. Overseeing the operations of our labor/delivery and nursery units, ensuring they meet the highest standards of care.
  2. Directing and coordinating the nursing care in these units, aligning with best practices and compliance requirements.
  3. Developing and implementing strategic plans, policies, and procedures for the Women's Services department.
  4. Evaluating performance and implementing improvement strategies to ensure patient satisfaction and positive patient outcomes.
  5. Building and fostering relationships with medical staff, and facilitating communication and collaboration among the team.
  6. Participating in budgeting and financial management, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  7. Collaborating with hospital administration and other department leaders, participating in strategic decisions, and advocating for Women's Services.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Current RN license in the state of Alabama.
  2. BSN required, MSN or related field preferred.
  3. Minimum of five years of clinical experience in Women's Services, with at least three years in a leadership role.
  4. Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  5. Knowledge of relevant healthcare regulations and standards.
